Opsgenie Integration
Atlassian on-call alerting with escalation policies and team rotations.
Opsgenie Integration
Integrate CrownSync Playbooks with Atlassian Opsgenie for on-call management. Perfect for organisations already using Jira Service Management. Route incidents to the right teams based on severity, escalation policies, and rotation schedules.
Works with Jira
If you already use Jira Service Management, Opsgenie provides seamless on-call alerting alongside your existing ITSM workflow.
Setup Steps
- Create an API key in Admin → Integrations → API Keys.
- In Opsgenie, go to Settings → Integration List and add an API integration.
- Copy the API key from Opsgenie.
- In CrownSync, go to Admin → Integrations → Webhooks and create an outbound webhook pointing to the Opsgenie Alerts API.
- Configure alert priority mapping to match CrownSync severity levels to Opsgenie priorities.
Priority Mapping
CrownSync incident severities map to Opsgenie alert priorities:
| CrownSync Severity | Opsgenie Priority |
|---|---|
| Critical | P1 — Critical |
| High | P2 — High |
| Medium | P3 — Moderate |
| Low | P4 — Low |
Key Features
- Alert routing based on incident severity
- Team rotation and escalation policies
- Works alongside Jira Service Management integration
- Heartbeat monitoring for service health
- Alert deduplication to reduce noise
Example Use Cases
- Incident declared → Alert on-call team via Opsgenie
- Severity escalated → Trigger escalation policy
- Incident resolved → Close Opsgenie alert automatically
- Works alongside Jira Service Management for end-to-end ITSM
Opsgenie transition
Atlassian has announced that Opsgenie functionality is being integrated into Jira Service Management. Opsgenie remains fully operational as of April 2026, but organisations should plan for eventual migration to Jira Service Management for on-call and incident alerting capabilities.
Integration instructions last verified: April 2026
