Managing Client Organisations

Add, monitor, and support client playbook deployments.

Managing Client Organisations

The partner portal lets you add and manage client organisations, track their playbook status, and monitor their incident response activity. This page covers the key client management capabilities available to partners.

Adding Client Organisations

To add a new client organisation to your partner account:

  1. Navigate to the Partner Portal from the sidebar
  2. Click Add Client Organisation
  3. Enter the client's company name. CrownSync performs a Companies House lookup to verify the company details and pre-populate registration information
  4. Review and confirm the company details from Companies House
  5. Enter the email address of the person who will be the organisation's Owner (typically the client's IT manager or head of security)
  6. Click Create Organisation

The designated Owner receives an email invitation to set up their account and complete the onboarding wizard. Once they complete onboarding, their organisation appears in your partner dashboard with full visibility.

Companies House Lookup

The Companies House lookup auto-populates the company name, registration number, registered address, and SIC codes. This information is used to pre-configure the organisation profile, including sector detection based on SIC codes.

Admin Invitation

When creating a client organisation, you specify who will be the Owner. This person receives an admin invitation email and becomes responsible for managing their organisation's team, playbooks, and settings. The partner cannot change the client organisation's Owner — ownership transfer must be initiated by the current Owner.

Monitoring Playbook Status

For each client organisation, you can view:

  • Active playbooks— Which playbooks the client has activated and customised
  • Coverage gaps— Threat categories without active playbooks
  • Last review date— When each playbook was last reviewed or updated
  • Customisation status— Whether the client has customised default content or is using templates as provided
  • Drill history— When drills were last conducted and the results

This visibility helps you proactively advise clients on gaps in their incident response posture and recommend actions to improve their readiness.

View-Only Access

Partners can view client playbook content but cannot edit it. This separation ensures that client organisations maintain ownership and control of their incident response procedures. If changes are needed, coordinate with the client's admin team directly.

Client Activity Monitoring

The partner portal provides a filtered activity view for each client organisation, showing recent actions such as playbook edits, incident declarations, drill completions, and team changes. This activity data helps you:

  • Verify that clients are actively maintaining their playbooks
  • Identify clients who may need engagement or support
  • Prepare for client review meetings with up-to-date information
  • Generate reports on client activity for your own internal governance

Removing Client Organisations

To remove a client organisation from your partner account, contact the CrownSync support team. Removal disconnects the partner relationship but does not delete the client's organisation or data — the client retains full access to their account independently.
