Marketplace — Creating Templates

Partner Marketplace

The CrownSync Marketplace allows partners to create, publish, and sell custom playbook templates and communication template packs to other CrownSync users. This is an opportunity for partners with specialist expertise to share their knowledge with the broader CrownSync community while generating additional revenue.

Creating Marketplace Templates

To create a template for the marketplace:

1. Navigate to Partner Portal → Marketplace
2. Click Create Template
3. Choose the template type:
   • Playbook template — A complete incident response playbook
   • Communication pack — A set of communication templates for a specific scenario or sector
4. Build your template using the template editor, which provides the same editing experience as the standard playbook editor
5. Add metadata including a title, description, target sectors, and relevant tags
6. Save your template as a draft

Templates can be created from scratch or based on existing CrownSync templates. If building on an existing template, your version must contain substantial original content to be accepted.

Setting a Price

When preparing a template for submission, you set the price:

• Free— Available to all CrownSync users at no cost. Useful for building your reputation and showcasing your expertise.
• Paid— Set a price in GBP. Pricing should reflect the value and specialisation of the content.

Submission for Review

When your template is ready, submit it for review:

1. Open your draft template
2. Click Submit for Review
3. Add any notes for the review team (e.g. target audience, regulatory context)
4. Confirm the submission

Once submitted, the template enters the review queue and cannot be edited until the review is complete.

Approval Process

The CrownSync team reviews submitted templates against the following criteria:

• Quality— Content is well-written, accurate, and professionally presented
• Originality— The template provides meaningful additional value beyond existing CrownSync content
• Compliance— Regulatory guidance is accurate and current
• Formatting— The template follows CrownSync formatting conventions and renders correctly

Reviews are typically completed within five business days. If changes are required, you receive specific feedback and can revise and resubmit.

Managing Published Templates

After approval, your template is published on the marketplace and visible to all CrownSync users. You can:

• Update— Submit updated versions that go through the same review process
• Unpublish— Remove the template from the marketplace. Existing purchasers retain access.
• View analytics— See download counts, purchase history, and user ratings
