Batch Export
Export your entire playbook library as combined PDF or ZIP.
Batch Export
Batch export allows organisation administrators to export multiple playbooks in a single operation. This is particularly useful when preparing documentation packs for auditors, insurers, board reviews, or regulatory assessments where you need a comprehensive set of incident response procedures.
Export Formats
Batch export offers two output formats:
- Combined PDF— All selected playbooks are merged into a single PDF document with a shared title page, table of contents, and continuous page numbering. Each playbook starts on a new page with its own section heading. This format is ideal for board packs and formal documentation submissions.
- ZIP archive— Each selected playbook is exported as an individual PDF file, and all files are bundled into a single ZIP download. This format is useful when you need to distribute individual playbooks to different teams or share specific playbooks with external parties.
Selecting Playbooks
To start a batch export:
- Navigate to Admin → Batch Export
- The page displays all active playbooks for your organisation with checkboxes
- Select the playbooks you want to include. Use the Select All button to include every active playbook
- Choose your preferred format: Combined PDF or ZIP Archive
- Click Generate Export
Playbooks are listed by category, making it easy to select all playbooks within a specific threat category (e.g. all malware playbooks, all data breach playbooks).
Export Options
Before generating the export, you can configure the following options:
- Classification marking— Apply the classification marking configured in your PDF branding settings, or override it for this specific export
- Include cover letter— Add a customisable cover letter page at the beginning of the combined PDF, useful for addressing the document to a specific recipient such as an auditor
- Include table of contents— Automatically generated for combined PDF exports, listing all included playbooks with page numbers
Export Time
Batch exports of many playbooks may take several minutes to generate. A progress indicator shows the current status. You can continue using the platform while the export is being generated — you will be notified when it is ready to download.
Verification and Audit Trail
Each playbook within a batch export receives its own unique verification ID and QR code, regardless of the export format. In a combined PDF, each playbook section includes its verification details. In a ZIP archive, each individual PDF has its own verification page.
The batch export operation is recorded in the audit log with details of who initiated the export, which playbooks were included, and the format selected. Individual verification IDs are also logged for traceability.
Who Can Batch Export
Batch export is available to users with the Owner or Admin role. Members with the standard Member role cannot access this feature. For single playbook exports, see Exporting PDFs.
